Steve Hankin

Senior Physiotherapist

Steve is a highly skilled physiotherapist with an in-depth understanding of the human body, driven by his personal experiences overcoming shoulder injuries sustained in Brazilian jiu jitsu (BJJ) and undergoing an ACL reconstruction. These events have not only equipped him with a profound empathy for his patients but have also fuelled his unwavering dedication to the field of physiotherapy.

Steve’s expertise spans various healthcare sectors, including the NHS, private practice, and the demanding sporting arena. He has collaborated with Premiership football teams including Brentford football club, as well as working closely with athletes from disciplines such as tennis, rugby, boxing, and mixed martial arts. This diverse background has allowed him to grasp the unique demands and challenges faced by individuals from all walks of life, ranging from recreational enthusiasts to elite competitors.

Steve’s fascination with the shoulder goes back to his NHS days after spending numerous hours with a shoulder specialist physio who ignited his passion for the upper limb. Upon moving into private practice on Harley St., Steve sought mentorship from Ben to improve his overall understanding of elite shoulder rehab. He attended numerous post grad courses focussed on the shoulder to further improve. He also built an enviable relationship with some of London’s top shoulder consultants whom he continues to work with to this day.

In his spare time Steve trains BJJ. He also loves golf, watching his beloved Brentford FC and spending time with his family.
